Following the great success of the first-of-its-kind conference in Lebanon and the Middle East, which aimed to launch Ircad Liban Academy, Dr. Guillaume Marescaux, Vice President of IRCAD in the world, visited Lebanon. During his visit, he met with Dr. Antoine Maalouf, President of Hôpital Français du Levant and President of Ircad Liban, to develop a strategic plan for advancing medical robotic education in Lebanon and the Middle East.
Both parties emphasized during the meeting that medical education is gradually shifting towards robotic technology. IRCAD is the only academy in Lebanon that teaches robotic surgery using high-precision simulators that enable doctors to train and perform surgeries safely and efficiently.
The recent conference held in Lebanon attracted significant attention from surgeons, experts, and researchers, marking a unique scientific and medical phenomenon.
On the occasion, Dr. Maalouf stated, "We are witnessing a real revolution in the medical world, and with IRCAD globally, we are moving towards a new medical future based on advanced technology and education. Our goal is to transfer this knowledge to the rising medical generations in Lebanon and the region."
The entry of IRCAD into Lebanon is considered a crucial step in strengthening the country's position as a regional medical training center, at a time when robotic education is becoming the future of modern surgery.
