In the heart of Beirut, AMI Paris’ iconic “Lover’s Bench” is quietly reimagined. Originally conceived under the vision of Alexandre Mattiussi, the bench long associated with intimacy and romance takes on a new meaning: a space for pause, reflection, and dignity.

Through minimalist and intentional visuals, Lebanese director Habib Sadaka follows a worker navigating the city’s relentless rhythm. Public spaces feel fleeting, almost inhospitable, until the bench appears. Yet its presence doesn’t comfort as much as it provokes: why is rest, a basic human need, treated as a privilege?

Set against Beirut’s raw and layered backdrop, the project reframes the essence of AMI Paris itself. Love, here, is no longer limited to romance it becomes care, respect, and balance. By localizing a globally recognized symbol, the work bridges fashion and social consciousness, turning an everyday object into a quiet yet powerful act of resistance.

In this story, the bench does not invite it challenges. It asks us to reconsider what we value, and who we allow to pause.
