Skip the Traffic This Summer: Weekend Ferry Trips Between Beirut and Batroun Set to Begin

    15 july 2026

Looking for a new way to spend your weekend without getting stuck on Lebanon’s busy coastal highway? A new ferry service connecting Beirut and Batroun is giving travelers the chance to swap traffic jams for breathtaking Mediterranean views.

Beginning Saturday, July 19, Cedar Waves will operate weekend ferry trips every Saturday and Sunday, offering passengers a scenic one-hour journey from Zaitunay Bay in Beirut to Batroun Port.

A Full Day to Enjoy Batroun

The ferry departs Zaitunay Bay at 10:00 AM and reaches Batroun at 11:00 AM. The return trip leaves Batroun at 6:00 PM, arriving back in Beirut at 7:00 PM.

The schedule gives visitors plenty of time to make the most of Batroun, whether that means relaxing on the beach, enjoying fresh seafood, wandering through the historic old souks, or discovering the city’s vibrant cafés and seaside atmosphere.

    More Than Just Transportation

Following the launch of its international routes earlier this year, Cedar Waves is expanding its services with this new domestic connection, offering travelers a fresh perspective on Lebanon’s coastline.

Rather than simply serving as a means of transportation, the ferry ride itself promises to be part of the adventure, allowing passengers to enjoy uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean throughout the journey.

    Ticket Prices

    One-way: $20

    Round-trip: $40

    How to Reserve Your Seat

Passengers can book their tickets directly through the Cedar Waves website or contact the company by phone for additional information and reservations.

With summer in full swing, the Beirut–Batroun ferry is expected to become a popular option for those looking to enjoy a relaxing seaside escape while avoiding the usual weekend traffic. Whether you’re planning a family outing, a beach day, or a spontaneous getaway, this new route offers a refreshing way to experience one of Lebanon’s most loved coastal destinations.
