Dressed in black and white portraying Mr and Mrs MINI, two MINI Hatch models went on auction at the third annual gala dinner held by the Philippe Hatem Foundation for a Happy Childhood. Taking place on 30 November 2013 at the Pavillon Royal, BIEL, the eye-catching MINIs helped in raising funds to support the charity dedicated to turning our world into a better place for children.
Commenting on MINI's participation Nagy Heneine, General Manager for Commercial Affairs at Bassoul-Heneine sal said: "The Hatem Foundation for a Happy Childhood is an important organisation dedicated to improving the lives of children around the region. At Bassoul-Heneine sal we are about more than just selling cars and we believe it is our responsibility to support organisations that contribute towards our community. MINI is a car that not only put smiles on its drivers' faces but also on the faces of children who need a brighter future."
Artistic in nature both MINIs were signed by famed Lebanese photographer Roger Moukarzel giving them additional edge. Mr. MINI also featured a portrait of a man on the driver seat and a woman on the passenger seat in addition to a portrait of a male figurine on the roof. Meanwhile Mrs. MINI was dressed in white with a female portrait on the driver seat and a male on the passenger side. Mrs. MINI also had a distinctively female silhouette on the roof.
Other items auctioned on the night included exclusively designed pieces by artists and designers including; Bokja, Karim Chaya, Ana Corbero, Rabih Kayrouz, Alia Mouzannar. As a special addition there was also an exclusive photography exhibit by world renowned photographer award winning Roger Moukarzel. The auction demonstrated how art can have a meaningful impact on improving the lives of the less fortunate.
The Philippe Hatem Foundation for a Happy Childhood is a charitable, non-profit organisation dedicated to helping the physical, emotional, intellectual and social rehabilitation of vulnerable and abused children around the world regardless of race, religion, nationality or political
