Apple could be gearing up to launch the iPhone 6 on the 14th October, slightly later than the rumoured September release we've been expecting so far.
A source has revealed that a senior Store Leader at Apple "mentioned October 14th as being an 'immense' day for Apple", according to a report byMacRumors.
The anonymous tipster is said to have cited an 'internal Apple Retail Store meeting' as his source for the insider info, and mentioned that the whole month of October would be very busy for the company and its retail outlets.
A media event was also tipped by the shadowy chatterbox, with the source pegging an Apple announcement for Tuesday 16th September - a solid month on from the newly postponed release date.
Official details are light on Apple's upcoming flagship smartphone, but we've been glued to the grapevine and have seen plenty of leaks regarding the iPhone 6.
We're expecting two display sizes, namely 4.7-in and 5.5-in variants, although they might not launch at the same time, with the larger model expected to come later in Q4 or even as far back as 2015.
Other speculated features include a 2GHz dual-core A8 processor, a 13MP Sony camera, up to 128GB storage, an 1800mAh battery, NFC tech, and a light-up Apple logo for notification alerts.
