Elton John‘s still standing — he just needs a little help for now after spraining his ankle.
The piano-rock legend, 72, shared on Instagram Thursday that he was recovering after suffering the leg injury. Though he didn’t say how it occurred, he did post a photo of himself wearing a tracksuit, white sneakers and his signature colorful glasses while seated in a wheelchair.
Despite his pout, John seemed to be having the time of his life given his location — The Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy — and his upbeat caption.
“Not even a sprained ankle could keep me away from seeing one of the most beautiful museums in the world,” he wrote.

The “Tiny Dancer” hitmaker is in Italy ahead of the upcoming European leg of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which is scheduled to commence in Vienna on May 1 and conclude on July 7 in Lucca, Italy, before he heads back to the U.S. and Canada. The tour will continue over the course of three years, comprising 300 dates total.

John wrapped the first leg of his tour in March, six months after kicking it off in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and playing a total of 77 shows.
“I want to thank everyone who bought a ticket and came to see the show,” the musician captioned a video montage on March 19. “I’ve never enjoyed a tour as much as this one. You make it overwhelmingly special for me every time. ❤❤️ I can’t wait to see more of you at the European dates in May!”
