Sage Stallone, 36, was found dead in his Los Angeles home and his father has released a black-and-white photograph of him with his late son, taken in 1991.
Los Angeles officials have said they need more time to determine what caused Sage Moonblood Stallone's death.
"When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain. Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son's memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha" said sylvester stallone.
"Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory in full left in peace"
Initial reports suggest that Sage may have fallen victim to prescription drug addiction. But his lawyer George Braunstein, denied the claims, saying his client and friend was teetotal.
