Nadine Labaki is becoming quite the red carpet regular. The Lebanese actress and director has treated us to a wealth of stunning looks – and all from Arab designers, we hasten to add -, from the Oscars to the BAFTAs to Cannes. And this weekend, Labaki made an appearance at Venice Film Festival for the screening on J'Accuse (An Officer And A Spy).
The Capernaum filmmaker wore a black gown from Lebanese label Georges Hobeika, a sartorial nod to her home country. The dress featured a low cut v-neck, held together by a statement necklace, plus a sheer black train.

The 45-year-old mother-of-two will soon be jetting off to Toronto, where her latest film1982 (in which she plays the role of Yasmeen, an anguished schoolteacher amid the 1982 Siege of Beirut) will be screened. 1982 is one of the few Arab films being shown at Toronto International Film Festival, which kicks off on 5 September.
