Culture Minister, Dr Mohammed Daoud Daoud, announced the nomination of Director Walid Mouannes' "1982" Film to represent Lebanon in the 2020 Oscar, organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the United States.
Walid Mouannes' "1982" Film will represent Lebanon in the 2020 Oscar for the foreign film category.
The Film nomination comes upon the recommendation put forward by the Special Committee tasked to nominate the Lebanese film to the Oscars. The Committee made the recommendation in a report submitted to the minister in the wake of its meeting today.
