A five-year-old boy is being praised after he helped save his mum's life - having cleverly called the emergency services using a phone number written on the side of his toy ambulance.
Little Josh was at home when he found his mum lying on the floor, having slipped into a diabetic coma.
Rather than panicking, Josh spotted a phone number on the side of his toy ambulance, and dialled 112 - the single European emergency number, which functions in the same way as 999.
Josh, from Telford, Shropshire, was then connected to a police communications operator, who was able to help him and his mum.
It wasn't long before officers arrived at Josh's home and found Josh and his younger brother, along with their mum - who was still lying unconscious on the floor.
"He was very brave and stayed on the line while we were able to get to the family's home and make sure his mum got medical assistance.
