The American was paragliding over Lake Annecy in the French Alps when she held aloft her new iPhone 11 Pro with a selfie stick, keen to capture a few snaps from the stunning vantage point.
Unfortunately for her, she subsequently dropped the stick while attempting to switch hands, losing her phone and the memories stored therein.
Thankfully her paragliding companion was filming too, so at least she'll always be able to look back on the moment she lost her phone - which they were unsurprisingly unable to locate from the lake below.
I don't want to add insult to injury, but it does almost seem like she chucks it down there. Very buttery fingers indeed. Whatever the case, the iPhone is now a goodbye phone.
