The Disney sci-fi adventure was a huge flop, one of the biggest in movie history, and forced the studio to take a $200 million write-down.
But if there's one thing we know, it's that Hollywood has a short memory, because now comes word that John Carter's director, Andrew Stanton, is apparently back in Disney's good graces. He's reportedly on board to helm a sequel to Finding Nemo.
The beloved orange clownfish became a firm fan favourite, after provoking a series of cooing sounds and “awwws” around the world with the original Finding Nemo. The film earned very positive reviews and has made close to a billion dollars world-wide.
