In Pictures: World's First 'Sky Pool' Opening In London Next Spring

    14 november 2020

The world's first 'sky pool' is opening in London in spring - though an exact date is yet to be confirmed. The one-of-a-kind pool was originally due to open in the summer but got delayed. Now though, the 25-metre long clear pool has been installed between two buildings in Embassy Gardens, 35 metres above the ground.

Construction work around the pool is now being finished off ahead of opening in spring.

As you might guess, a lot of design work went into making the innovative pool. The end result is a 50-tonne acrylic pool which is 3.2 metres deep, with 20cm thick sides and a 30cm thick bottom.

Clearly, it has undergone a sh*tload of safety tests, but if you'd still be too scared to swim in it, that is totally understandable.

Not that you'll be allowed in for a splash anyway, unless you're a resident at Embassy Gardens and a member of the development's exclusive 'Eg:le Club'.
