    21 june 2013

Sony, the leading consumer electronics and entertainment brand, today named Lebanese pop star, Ramy Ayach, as the brand ambassador for the new Sony XB920 headphones that feature a deep bass sound.

Teaming serious sound quality with ultimate styling, the new MDR-XB920 headphones from Sony takes its cue from the latest music trends and provides club music lovers with a whole new look that brings the party right to their ears.

Famed across the Middle East for his chart-topping albums and music career spanning over 15 years, Ramy Ayach is ideally positioned to highlight and promote the XB series of headphones.

Speaking on the ambassadorship, Ayach said: "I am very pleased to be associated with the Sony XB Headphones - a product that can truly bring out the soul of the song. This is from a person who loves music and the sound of every note in its fullness."

"The new Sony XB920 headphones offer a truly remarkable deep bass experience for the user, as it wonderfully reproduces the lowest bass notes to give a whole new feel and effect to modern music. The foldaway feature of the headphones is great and unique as well, especially since it increases portability and storage ease more than bulky alternatives. Sony has certainly upped its portfolio with the XB series, and I am already hooked on to the Sony XB920 and look forward to working with the brand."

    About Ramy Ayach

Ramy Ayach was born in Baakleen in the mountains of Lebanon, the youngest of three brothers, all of whom were musically inclined (both of them were in his backing band - the eldest on keyboards, the middle brother on drums - until a few years ago, and his eldest brother was also his first manager). Soon after realising his natural talent for singing and music, Ramy went on to become the leading Pop Star from the Middle East. Ramy's earliest achievement was in 1996 at a leading musical talent show in Beirut, 'Studio El Fan.' The jury was so impressed with his performance of a song titled, "Bghanila w bde'ella "where he earned the Gold medal and won the first rank. This hit track spent 8 weeks at the top of the Arabic charts and was nominated as 'Best Song' for 1997 paving the way forward with continuous success and growth in the Arabic music industry.

And while Studio El Fan was unquestionably his big break, he was making a name for himself around his hometown from the age of nine. "I'd performed so many concerts before I even went on the show," he says. "I was singing everywhere - all around the mountains, singing at weddings, school events, but in a smaller community. They were calling me 'The Miracle Kid' because I was so young."

This success was followed by his first recorded album and number one hit in 1997 titled, 'Raeh.' Ramy then embarked on his first world tour, performing in 50 concerts over Australia, Europe and all across the Middle East.
