A police officer in Peru has been suspended after he was caught on camera kissing a woman who he should have been booking for breaching Covid rules.
Footage of the kiss was shared by a TV station, prompting the cops bosses to place him on gardening leave while they investigate the incident.
In the clip, the officer approaches the woman, presumably to take down her details and book her for breaking the rules, but then it seems he's persuaded to change his mind, as he ends up mashing lips with her instead.
Not exactly Covid-friendly that, is it?
After the clip was broadcast, Luis Molina, mayor of the Miraflores district in Lima, where the incident took place, sent the officer home pending an investigation.
Ibero Rodriguez, in charge of citizen security for the district, said: "Our mayor Luis Molina has taken the decision to suspend this officer immediately
"There are several infringements. The young woman disrespects social distancing rules and he allows it.
"Then he takes off his mask to give her a kiss."
