A large explosion has occurred at the Port of Jebel Ali on the outskirts of Dubai, according to witnesses and local media. Only few details are currently available.
The incident happened at around midnight and could be seen and heard across the city in the United Arab Emirates. It was not immediately clear what had exploded, although some reports claimed it happened on a ship.
