The X Factor judge is expecting a baby with New York City socialite Lauren Silverman, a source firms to E! News. But the real kicker? The mom-to-be is still technically married to real-estate mogul Andrew Silverman, who happens to be a friend of Simon's.

Mrs Silverman's mother has also confirmed her daughter is pregnant, the article added.

A source said: "Lauren and Andrew have been married for about 10 years, but they have been unhappy for some time and their divorce has been in the works for a while.

"As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close. Their ­relationship blossomed this year and the baby is the result of that."
