Nicole Kidman is stepping into royal shoes for the upcoming film "Grace of Monaco."

Nicole took on the role of famed Hollywood actress Grace Kelly (who became Princess Grace when she married Monaco's Prince Rainier III) for the film, due out later this year.

She told 'Access Hollywood': "It was a real honour to play her. I hope I captured her essence ... I mean, you never know, but it won't be for lack of trying."

"Grace of Monaco" hits theaters on December 19.
