Several thousand fans have signed a petition circulating online to name the street where Paul Walker died after the late "Fast & Furious" star.

The petition asks the city of Santa Clarita to change the street's name to "Walker Rodas Memorial Parkway." Which is something many residents of the area are against, according to TMZ.

However, city councillor TimBen Boydston tells TMZ.com the name of the road can only be changed with the support of local residents, and many have reportedly decided to oppose the tribute as Walker was not a part of the community.

The star and Rodas perished in a car crash between Kelly Johnson Parkway and Hercules Street on November 30.
