Sarah Churman, 29, was born deaf. Until recently, she had never heard the sound of her own voice. But thanks to a hearing implant, Churman was able to experience a miracle.
She says on her YouTube channel that she's worn hearing aids since she was two years old and has gotten by on reading lips.
The device she's received is not a hearing aid. It's implanted in the middle ear and picks up sound through the ear canal, minimizing background noise and acoustic feedback, according to Envoy Medical.
