Shortly after 29-year-old Rowden Go proposed to girlfriend Leizel May, he contracted stage IV liver cancer, an aggressive cancer whose stage IV victims face a low survival rate.
Go's last dying wish was to marry his beloved in front of his family and friends, including the couple's 2-year-old daughter. Thanks to the perseverance and accommodation of both families, Go's wish was granted.
The wedding was supposed to take place in July, but Go's diagnosis pushed the date back to June.
The Go and May families had a mere 12 hours to prepare for the ceremony. Go was far too sick to even leave the hospital, so his future wife came to him.
The beautiful ceremony was posted onto Youtube by Go's brother, Hasset.
There were tears and vows, and the entire event - from the priest's blessing to the flower girl - took place in the hospital room.
Go died only 10 ten hours after saying "I do" on June 11, 2014, and he's survived by his wife, Leizel May, and daughter Zakiah Rowzel.
