Jad Fattouh The First Lebanese Basketball Coach in Europe

    25 september 2014

What an unprecedented achievement! The Lebanese Young coach Jad Fattouh has signed a contract with the Serbian team Mega Vizura as an assistant coach in the Serbian Premiere League.

The Lebanese basketball proves again high standards of professionalism. Jad, the 30 year old, is the first Lebanese coach to reach such a refined position in the European Basketball. It is worth mentioning that Serbia has occupied the second place in the world basketball championship behind the US.

Mega Vezora has finished third last year in the Serbian League and has also participated in the Adriatic League; a regional professional basketball league. Therefore, this transition will provide many opportunities to come for the Lebanese coach.

Jad Fattouh's CV is quite rich as he joined Al Riyadi club and has contributed in the emergence of many junior players. He later became Fouad Abou Shakra's assistant coach and then assisted the Slovenian Slobodan Subotic. In the summer of 2012, he moved to Manama, Al Bahrain and won the league for the team to later join the club of Sharjah, UAE.

The Lebanese coach has arrived to Serbia on Tuesday to officially handle the task, and we wish higher achievements for him and for many other talented Lebanese in the days to come...
