Jamie Foxx could play the villain in the sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man.

According to Variety, the actor is "in early talks" to appear as a character called Electro, a baddie from the Spider-Man comic books who acquires the ability to control electricity after being struck by lightning.

Foxx would be playing the villain of the sequel: Electro, alias Max Dillion, a criminal who has the ability to manipulate electricity following a lightning-infused accident. Electro made his first appearance in the "Spider-Man" comics in 1964.
