In a new technological achievement, Alfa, the first Lebanese mobile operator managed by Orascom Telecom, announces that it has successfully completed the 1st Lab Test on the 4G-LTE technology on its network.
Lebanon will complete linking telecom switchboards to a fiber-optics network in April 2013, paving the way for the launchof the fourth generation of mobile networks in major cities, the telecommunications minister said over the weekend.
The Pilot Phase will include 300 participants, and it will span across a geographical area covering the administrative area of Beirut.
