In an attempt to revive Senegal’s tourism industry, President Macky Sallannounced last week that the country would waive all tourist visas for international travellers from May 1.
The President added he would also reduce taxes on airfares by half in order to lower the price of the air ticket and make travel to Senegal more affordable. He explained he is in talks with various airlines to examine the possibility of also reducing the fuel surcharge.
