Teen Erinne Paisley made graduation dress out of her homework to help other girls get an education

    08 june 2015
An 18-year-old student went to her graduation in a dress made out of her maths homework. She did it to help other young women get an education.

Erinne Paisley, from Victoria, Canada, wrote across the dress in red pen: 'I've received my education. Not every woman has that right.'

Not only was she making a point about women's rights and the need for all girls to have access to a secondary education, but she was also raising money for the Malala Fund.

The Malala Fund was started by Pakistani teen activist Malala Yousafzai and campaigns for a quality secondary education for all girls.

Erinne sold the dress she was going to wear to graduation and donated the proceeds to the charity.
