It's a cat's life for this pessimistic pussy.

Little Luhu's dejected demeanour has earned the moggy almost 15,000 followers on Instagram.

Her owner, Maggie Liu, keeps the cat's legion of fans updated on what the forlorn feline is up to - which is generally looking a bit depressed.

The cat is pictured lounging around, playing with with siblings and even cuddling with a toy panda - but nothing seems to raise Luhu's spirits.

Maggie Liu, who lives in China, explains that her three tabby cats Barher, Bardie and Luhu "have the same parents but their faces, tastes, and personalities are totally different".

It comes after a brave cat came face to face with a mountain lion in his own garden.

The unperturbed pet stands up to the giant cat - who then strolls off and can be seen up on a grassy bank, looking back towards the family home.
