Ever since the release of “Gangnam Style”, the video’s meteoric rise up the YouTube most-viewed chart has closely mirrored PSY’s meteoric rise in fame.
We all knew it was just a matter of when, not if Gangnam Style would become the most-watched YouTube video of all time.
Gangnam style was posted less than 5 months ago on July 15. Comparatively, Bieber’s Baby was posted way back on February 9 in 2010. That means it took almost three years for Baby to climb to the heights Gangnam has achieved in months. Jennifer Lopez’s “On the Floor” is a distant third, sitting at 625 million views. It was posted in March of 2011.
