Searchers found out many reasons behind us closing our eyes while kissing:
First: to avoid the embarrassment of seeing the partner up close so the person would close his eyes while kissing so the other would feel comfortable. Some actually think that the partners do not want to see eachother kissing.
Second: Indian professor Shah Min from national institute for learning says that kissing increases the secretion of a special hormone responsible for feelings so closing our eyes during kissing helps reducing the amount of emotions that can make us feel uncomfortable.
Third: Professor Diane Delay says that the human brain prevents the person from actually using his tongue and his eyes simultaneously while kissing. She also says that it's like tipping on your head and rubbing your belly at the same time. She even adds that kissing with open eyes can lead to their damage because we see the person up close. Adding that the partner's nose would look huge at the time the two are kissing.
