Egyptian celebrity steals and records Ragheb Alamas new single

    06 august 2015
Did Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfik "steal" Lebanese superstar Ragheb Alama's new single "Shoftak Etlakhbatet"? That's so true, according to AlBawaba Arabic news.
Also according to the song's writer Hani al Soghayyar and its composer Mahmoud al Khayyami, the song was written for Alama and solely belongs to him. This came after the song was leaked in Ehab's voice days before Ragheb released his version.
While Soghayyar stressed that the person who "stole" the song will be legally prosecuted, Khayyami tweeted, "Singer Ragheb Alama is the sole owner of the song 'Shoftak Etlakhbatet.' He owns its copyrights from me and from al Soghayyar. Any deceitful artist should stay away from Ragheb."
Could this all be a misunderstading, since the single was first recorded in Ehab's voice as a trial, before he was told that it would go to another singer, and someone then leaked Ehab's version without his knowledge?
Surely a respectable artist like Ehab wouldn't be so desperate to "steal" another singer's work?
