And in response to Syrian singer George Wassouf's criticism of singers judging talent competitions, Sherine said, "For someone who's spent 15 years successfully singing, and with so many fans memorizing their music, they're then entitled to judge wannabe singers.

"With that being said, not every artist who takes this chair is capable of judging contestants properly."

Sherine told George that he has a big place in their hearts, adding, "It's very difficult for a person who's capable of choosing catchy music and lyrics, and one who creates a huge following, not to be able to choose the right voices, as well as training them properly," according to Gololy.

Meanwhile, Helani said, "We also have masters and specialist musicians who help us with selecting and training new talents.

"I have a strong ear for music. I've been singing for 27 years, since 1988 up to this day. Those criticisms are out of place and aren't worth responding to."
