Viruses transmitted through dust:
Dust wave that hit Lebanon maycarry viruses and infect people who are most vulnerable to climate variations especially those who are attained with asthma, a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways that prevents the reverse flow of air, and leads to bronchitis.
Among the most prominent symptoms:
Whistling chest, coughing, chest tightness and shortness of breath. It is possible that some viruses or infections through the air, cause transmitted severe diarrhea, and vomiting, and a rise in body temperature, and often come back causing Enterovirus viruses (enteroviruses).
How to prevent from catching diseases:
- People who suffer from asthma must put masks.
- People should avoid going out of the house except for only extreme and necessary cases.
- All doors and windows must be sealed in order to prevent dust from entering the rooms.
- Avoid burning garbage because the emitted material, are harmful to the respiratory system.
- Asthma patients must take the medicine and then go to the nearest hospital in the absence of response to drugs or when feeling severe shortness of breath. "
