Nicki Minaj is the subject of an upcoming TV sitcom.

A new comedy series for ABC Family will be based on the rapper's life, with Minaj herself starring in the show and serving as executive producer.

According to Deadline, the untitled series will focus on Minaj's childhood and musical education in Queens, New York City in the 1990s after her family emigrated from Trinidad And Tobago.

ABC Family's EVP Programming and Development Karey Burke added, "Nicki Minaj is a force to be reckoned with at everything she touches. Nicki is an international superstar, yet not everyone knows how inspiring and hilarious her true story is, and we can't wait to share it with the world."
