Couple tie knot after finding love through one in a million Facebook glitch
05 october 2015
A couple have found love after a 'one in a million' Facebook glitch brought them together.
Every time Schuler Benson tried to access his social media account he found he was already logged in as a woman called Celeste Benson.
The pair, who lived 1,000 miles apart, had no mutual friends and had never seen or heard of each other before.
Schuler was eventually able to log out, when Celeste sent him a friend request, intending to delete him a few days later.
"But it turns out we had a LOT in common," Schuler wrote while sharing his story on Imgur.
He and Celeste, who first began chatting in 2009, became close friends online and finally met in person in June 2013.
A few months later Celeste moved from Colorado to live with Schuler in Arkansas in the US and a year later they were married.
Schuler said: "I found my partner, my best friend, my great love via a simple glitch in social media.
"There are awful things in this world but sometimes there's beauty too. This is my beauty."
