Locals have a second chance to land a role in the new Brad Pitt movie War Machine, which is due to start filming in Abu Dhabi in October.

Another casting session will be held this weekend at twofour54 Abu Dhabi's Rotana Building. It was announced on the Facebook page of Miranda Davidson Studios, which is handling the casting of extras and previously organised the casting of local extras for the Furious 7 shoot in the capital.

The sessions will take place on Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, from 2pm to 8pm.

A source close to the local production team told us: "In a world where the cinemas are full of licensing and franchises, this is really a big-budget deal for an original, independent movie.

"We're delighted that David and Brad have decided to opt for authenticity by shooting the movie in the Middle East instead of a location closer to home."
