Tom Cruise and daughter Suri have not seen each other for 26 months, it has been claimed.

A report alleges it has been 801 days since the Hollywood star has clapped eyes on his nine-year-old girl.

There have been previous claims that bosses of Tom's religion Scientology wanted to distance him from Suri.

The chiefs reportedly labelled her a "potential trouble source" because her mum Katie Holmes was an opponent of the Church.

According to US publication the National Enquirer, which claimed Tom, 53, had not seen his girl for 801 days, a source said: "He doesn't seem interested in being part of Suri's day-to-day life.

"Katie does her best to be a hands-on mum but there's no replacing her father.

"He hasn't been seen in public with his daughter in over two long years - that's a fifth of her lifetime."
