Mark Zuckerberg's baby daughter has made her Facebook debut!
The Facebook co-founder announced that he and his wifePriscilla Chan have welcomed their first child, a baby girl, into the world.
And her name is... Max Chan Zuckerberg. How CUTE!!
In a Facebook post made on(Dec. 1) Mark announced the happy news with a note called "A Letter To Our Daughter."
"Your mother and I don't yet have the words to describe the hope you give us for the future," Zuckerberg begins his heartfelt letter. "Your new life is full of promise, and we hope you will be happy and healthy so you can explore it fully. You've already given us a reason to reflect on the world we hope you live in. Like all parents, we want you to grow up in a world that is better than ours today."
As the letter continues, Mark reveals he and his wife's new project, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, which they hope will promote equality around the world, saying:
"We will give 99% of our Facebook shares - currently about $45 billion - during our lives to advance this mission."
On July 31 they announced the happy news that they were expecting, also revealing their struggle to have a child in the past.
"It's a lonely experience. Most people don't discuss miscarriages because you worry your problems will distance you or reflect upon you - as if you're defective or did something to cause this. So you struggle on your own," he said in a Facebook post.[CB]
