Ho! Ho! Ho!
The most beautiful time of the year is here and Beirut is filled with lights, sparkles, Christmas decorations and more. The lights are filling up the streets and everyone is feeling the Christmas spirit. Time has passed so quickly this year and YES! Christmas is right around the corner. Don't you just love listening and singing along to those Christmas carols that follow you everywhere? From the radio music in your car, to the music played in malls and stores.
Christmas is that time of year when most families reunite and spend time together. There's also nothing better than giving back to the community as in helping others. I'm sure you might all be wondering, where the gifts part is coming in. I surely did not forget to mention that! We all love surprises however, I am sure that some of you have not started their Christmas shopping yet. Well what are you waiting for? There's only about few weeks left for Christmas Eve.
Here are 5 tips that will help you during your Christmas shopping spree :P
First of all, make a List: Write down everyone you plan to buy a gift for, no matter how small the gift may be.
Include ideas or notes of what you are thinking of giving each person, along with the maximum amount you're willing to spend. By doing this, you would be narrowing your options and will be able to control your budget.
Start Early: The more you wait, the less items you will find. Everyone will be Christmas shopping and so some things may be sold out, especially those limited edition holiday items that you might be looking for. When you see something that is perfect for a person who's on your list don't be lazy and say it's too early to think of Christmas, on the contrary, you'd have one less gift to worry about so buy it immediately. If you know a sale is coming up then check if you can reserve the gift and buy it then however, if no sale will happen soon then don't risk waiting and then not finding the specific item. Keep your eyes open all year round for items friends and family would like; you know what they say it's often when you're not looking for something specific that you stumble across the perfect gift
Do Online Research, especially when it comes to things that you are not familiar with: If you're unsure of which specific item to buy, especially when it comes to electronics and tech stuff, search for online reviews and information about the product.
If you are all crammed up with work and did not have the sufficient time to start your Christmas shopping early, well a word of advice, the day you choose to go hunting for Christmas presents - shop by yourself. Being alone, makes you more productive and helps you decide quicker. Having multiple opinions can confuse you and you may become indecisive.
Finally, Start with the easy gifts first, some people you simple know exactly what you are going to buy for them such as perfumes, a specific shoe you know the person wants, etc. Buy the easy gifts first but keep the harder ones in mind. Try to not leave the challenging gifts, until the very last minute; that would only make things harder.Enjoy your Christmas shopping.
