    6 world records broken in the UAE in 2015

    1. Most burpees in one minute (male): On January 9, Lee Ryan achieved the most burpees in one minute in Dubai, in an attempt to raise money for the World Child Cancer charity.

    2. Largest pyrotechnics image: The record was achieved at the Dubai World Cup at the Meydan Racecourse in Dubai on March 28. The image - comprising the UAE's national flag - was made of 648 separate pixels, created by Fireworks by Grucci (USA), measuring 65,526 square metres.

    3. Most buildings climbed: Alain Robert, a.k.a. The French Spiderman, officially climbed 121 buildings in 2015, finishing off in grand style in Dubai. Robert began to climb towers, monuments and skyscrapers in 1994 and completed 121 after climbing the Cayan Tower in Dubai on April 12.

    4. Largest money box: The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments in Abu Dhabi created the largest money box in the world, 7m high, 5m wide and 5m long. The money box was awarded the world record on June 20 and was displayed in Yas Mall.

    5. Largest synchronised car dance: Forming an animated peace sign, the largest synchronised car dance consists of 121 cars. The record was achieved by PEPSICO, IMPACT BBDO, SWERVE ENTERTAINMENT and INSA in Dubai, on July 24.
