1. LET IT BE A GOAL TO MAKE YOUR MAKEUP LAST ALL NIGHT:
You didn't spend hours in front of the mirror or even paid a fortune to get your make up done just to see your hair go frizzy and your makeup fade away before the ball drops.
Use long lasting, waterproof makeup. Start with a primer, which will plump up your skin and give your makeup an even base to glide onto for a flawless finish.
2. You do not want your face to look SHINIER THAN a CRYSTAL BALL:
There's a fine line between glowing and greasy, and when you've been dancing up all night in a packed club or at a house party, your skin is bound to look oil-slicked. Avoid using a lot of foundation that will make your face look like a porcelain doll.
3. TISSUE ALERT:
Try to keep a tissue near you at all times, you can never know when someone drops a drink on you or if you get allergies because of all the smoke...
4. SHOES TIP!
When it comes to shoes, avoid wearing new shoes no matter what! Even if they are the prettiest shoes on earth, remember that you will be wearing them the entire night and you want something that you would be able to dance in and not suffer pain from. There is nothing sexy about swollen, blistered feet. If you end up choosing those new shoes that match your outfit perfectly then TAKE FLATS with you in a separate bag and put it underneath your chair.
5. OUTFIT WARNING!
I never understood the idea behind getting overdressed for New Years Eve! It is just like any other party but I remind you it is not Halloween so you DO NOT HAVE TO wear a really short sparkly dress that's super uncomfortable. Wear something that defines who you are, your own style. It is certainly not the right time or place to please anyone on New Year's but yourself.
6. MIDNIGHT KISS
If possible attempt to land a new year's eve midnight kiss even if you are not dating! It is one of the few times that you can get away with smooching a guy friend you've always had a crush on.
Most importantly, enjoy your night with friends and loved ones.
Don't Drink AND drive!!!!
Happy New Year :)
