Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to make an X-rated TV show about sex parties.

According to Deadline, the music mogul's company Syco Entertainment has optioned sex club memoir Behind the Mask.

The book, released in 2014, is written by Killing Kittens sex club founder Emma Sayle and co-written by Suzanna Kerins.

It is described as a "a true story of sex, seduction and the pursuit of pleasure," a world where "women make - and break - the rules. An underground club notorious for parties wilder than 50 Shades of Grey."

A spokesperson for Syco Entertainment has so far declined to comment but a source told The Sun newspaper that X Factor boss Simon is looking for new business ventures and thinks the show would be a success.

The insider said: "Someone brought the book to his attention and he immediately saw pound signs.
