1- What drove you to enter this partnership with Jozour Loubnan?
The responsibility towards our country in reducing polluting emissions, as we're a Lebanese automotive company, and that despite the fact that constructors are doing tremendous efforts to reduce those, the industry remains a polluting one .
2- Were you in competition with another company to enter this sponsorship?
Not at all. We approached Jouzour Loubnan, and decided to conclude this partnership. On the other hand I do not see any competitiveness issues regarding such initiatives, several Lebanese companies are taking actions, in different directions.
3- How did you make sure it was a solid project before making this big step?
When you have the opportunity to work with such a serious, and engaged NGO (over 200 000 trees planted in Lebanon) you don't hesitate.
4- Your company is the first to be committed to planting a tree for every car or motorbike sold from
BMW, MINI, Renault, Dacia, Rolls Royce, and BMW Motorrade ranges. Can you share with?
us some of the other projects you agreed on regarding the reforestation of Lebanon?
This is the only project that concerns reforestation in Lebanon, the whole development of the project will be handled by Jouzour Loubnan. But we have some other CSR activities such as recycling and road safety awareness program.
5- How do you recycle in your divisions?
We've been recycling our papers since several years with Arc En Ciel; we have a dedicated space for all
papers and plastic material we use on a daily basis. Each month approximately we contact AEC to collect
them.
6- Do you think with such an initiative, you can bring back Green Lebanon the way it was before?
We are participating to help bring back a greener Lebanon and we hope that many other companies will
do the same in order to be able to bring back Green Lebanon the way it was before.
7- Any message you would like to share with Beiruting.com reads about making the environment a
better place?
It's a common responsibility each one should be doing according to his means.
