As we close out 2012 this weekend, "Les Miserables" and "Django Unchained" come off of excellent Christmas Day debuts that put them in great position to knock "The Hobbit" out of the number one spot at the box office.
Based on the popular stage musical of the same name, "Les Miserables" is in great shape to put up some big numbers this weekend for distributor Universal. Backed by plenty of awards season buzz and a popular cast that includes Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman, "Les Miserables" looks to be the perfect formula to bring in adult audiences not interested in Quentin Tarantino's intense western "Django Unchained."
