When 12-year-old cousins Jordan Fox and Makaylee Duhon decided to cover Taylor Swift's "Blank Space," they probably didn't expect Swift to see the video.
And when they sang, "We got a long list of donations/ But we don't see your name/ We got a blank space baby/ So donate today," they probably didn't anticipate needing to save a space for Swift herself.
The girls made the video to raise money so that Jordan's brother could get a therapy dog. Five-year-old Jacob Hill has autism, and according to Jacob's Gofundme page, a therapy dog would help him by relieving his anxiety and protecting him from moving cars and water, which would provide him with more independence.
About a month after posting the video, Jordan and Makaylee got a huge surprise when Taylor Swift donated $10,000 after seeing their video.
Taylor and her mother, Andrea Swift, commented on the page, "Jacob, we hope you love your new dog! Please tell your cousins that they did a great job on the song! Love, Taylor and Andrea Swift."
