When parents Jade Sparham and Liam Scaife of Skegness, England, welcomed their daughter, Poppy-Rae, into the world last November, they were shocked to find that the newborn had an oddly-shaped red mark on her forehead. As the days went on, the mark assumed the shape of a heart, and grew redder every time the little girl got angry or upset.
At first, the new parents were concerned, but doctors assured them that it was just a birthmark. When the couple realized that Poppy had been conceived on Valentine's Day, the mark seemed like a fortuitous symbol from up above.
"It definitely makes this Valentine's Day extra special for us," Sparham told The Daily Mail. "Poppy-Rae is like our very own cupid baby. Liam and I can't stop kissing her little face."
