    Fadia Ghossein becomes Woman of the Year 2016

    Lebanon is always proud to export talents and outliers to every inch of the world. These people study well, work hard, and determine themselves to always impress the world with their contended brains.

    Fadia Ghossein is one of those Lebanese immigrants in Australia. She has founded the Lebanese -Australian Foundation at the University of Sydney in 2001, and was committed to provide scholarships to the most talented students. She also chairs the board of the Maronite Foundation in the World - Australia, organizing visits to Lebanon, every year, for young people who wish to learn about their origins. Ghossein has further contributed to the consolidation of relations between the Lebanese and Australian peoples. She is well-known for her social services and among philanthropic associations.

    And that's not all! Fadia has won the title Woman of the Year 2016 in New South Wales, Australia, as reported by the NNA office in Sydney. She received the award during a ceremony at the State Parliament attended the Governor of New South Wales, David Hurley, Premier Mike Baird, as well as several ministers, MPs and personalities.

    Since the announcement of the results, several Lebanese personalities contacted the winner to congratulate her, including the director of the National News Agency, Laure Sleiman Saab. Ghossein then thanked all those who voted for her in Australia, Lebanon and around the world, saying that her victory was that of all Lebanese, Arab and Australian women, particularly on the occasion of International Women's Day.
