Goods on Amazon could soon be made in the blink of an eye, literally. The retail giant has been awarded a patent that would allow users to verify online payments by winking at a phone or tablet's front-facing camera. 
The patent further talks about the need for improved security around these electronic systems that allow you to purchase items with one click. It is possible to get someone's password to his or her Amazon account where you can go on a buying spree, but with this selfie way of making payments which will use facial recognition, it would be a lot harder for hackers and thieves to use your accounts. 
"In order to avoid typing in long passwords in such situations, users often have their passwords stored on their devices or enable information to be stored elsewhere such that an activity can be performed without manually re-entering the password.
"When using such an approach, however, another person having access to that device can impersonate the user for any task associated with the store password," it said.
