No, Jay Z didn’t pop out to confirm thatLemonade is 100 percent about him, and that he’s going to reveal who Becky is by blasting her picture on the Jumbotron. Nor did Eminem show up with new lyrics to “Stan,” which he performed while Bey sang Dido’s part. Instead, concert attendees were treated to a much more humbling moment from their queen: She sneezed.
Yes, Beyoncé has regular bodily functions, and sometimes they don’t realize when she’s in concert, performing in front of thousands of people. How dare an involuntary action to something like dust in the air, allergies, or a developing cold pull a stunt like this. Concert-goers saw the sneeze as an incredibly inspiring moment, though. It meant that this icon, who’s been elevated to basically superhuman status, is still, beneath it all, a normal person who sneezes, breathes, and probably does other things, too, like digest, cough, and sometimes wakes up with cricks in her neck or cramps in her legs—because she’s in her 30s now, and that’s what happens in your 30s, even if you can afford the best trainers in the world.
