You probably know someone you think is a big mouth, but do they have a mouth as big as Bernd Schmidt?
According to the 2017 edition of “Guinness World Records,” Schmidt’s mouth can open 3.5 inches, enough to eat a double patty cheeseburger. Schmidt of Wendlingen, Germany, beat out the previous record holder by four millimeters, which seems hard to swallow.
Big mouths aren’t the only big thing in this year’s book. Model Harnaam Kaur of Slough, U.K., made it in by being the youngest woman to have a fully grown beard. Kaur did it at the tender young age of 24 years, 282 days.

The youngest female with a full beard is 25-year-old Harnaam Kaur of Slough, UK. She was 24 years 282 days when she was confirmed as a record holder.
The tallest female dog living is Lizzy of Alva, Florida, who measures 37.96 inches in height. She lives with her owner Greg Sample and was 7 years old at the time of verification.
Charlotte Guttenberg, 67, of Melbourne, Florida, is the most tattooed female senior citizen. About 91.5 percent of her body is covered with tattoos.
The largest ice cream scoop is 6 feet, 4.7 inches long. It belongs to Dimitri Panciera of Forno di Zoldo, Italy.
Panciera also holds the record for most ice cream scoops balanced on a cone: 121.
Didga, a cat in Tweed Heads, New South Wales, Australia, set a record for most tricks performed by a cat in one minute. Her 20 tricks include rolling over and jumping over a bar whilst on a skateboard.
Teenager Maxwell Day of London is able to rotate his feet 157 degrees.
Ludo, a Maine Coon cat owned by Kelsey Gill of Wakefield, UK, measures 3 feet, 10.6 inches long.
Tyler Wright, of St. Louis, has an afro measuring 10 inches in height, 9 inches in width and 5 feet, 10 inches in circumference.
Caspa, a llama owned by Sue Williams, of Cheshire, U.K., holds the record for highest bar jump cleared by a llama: 3 feet, 8.5 inches.
Keon, a dog owned by Ilse Loodts of Westerlo, Belgium, has a tail measuring 30.2 inches.
The largest collection of hamburger related items belongs to Harry Sperl (a.k.a. Hamburger Harry) of Germany. It consists of 3,724 burger-themed items.
The longest distance for being pulled by a horse while on full body burn is 1,640.42 feet. The record is achieved by stuntman Josef Tödtling of Austria in June, 2015.
The largest collection of coprolite — fossilized poop — belongs to George Frandsen of Bradenton, Florida. He has 1,277 pieces in all.
The largest chess piece is a king which measures 16 feet, 7 inches tall and 6 feet, 8 inches in diameter at the base. It’s on display in Kalmthout, Belgium.
