Joseph Gergess was born on May 28, 2014 and has been struggling for the past 2 years with severe combined Immune Deficiency (SCID) due to a mutation in the gene SP110
He has a life threatening infection specifically the development of liver fibrosis. He has been on respiratory ventilation for so long and a child should never experience anything like this.
The parents are appealing to the kind and generous hearts of Lebanon to donate what little amount that they can in order to fundraise Joseph's next bone marrow transplant surgery which is the cure to his condition. Roy, the father, will be the donor since he is a perfect match to his sick son, however the issue is that the Cleveland Clinic in the United States of America gave an estimate of 850,000$. This cost includes pre- and post-operative testing, surgeon's fees, hospital fees, anesthesia, operating room, medications, supplies and hospitalization stay.
So far a total amount of 84,319.00 US was raised since the launch of the fundraising campaign on 1/12/2016.
